Dr. Campbell holds a Masters in Health Services Administration (1998) and a PhD in Health Related Sciences, Healthcare Outcomes Research (2018) from the Medical College of Virginia. The focus of his professional work in practice management and ambulatory care spans private and academic practice, specialty and primary care, serving adult and pediatric populations. Currently, Dr. Campbell’s focus is on transitioning to value-based purchasing, creating and implementing new care models, addressing caregiver burnout and improving outcomes. He has presented at national events on approaches currently employed at the UVA Physicians Group and continues to research variation in quality and outcomes.

Dr. Campbell is on the faculty of the Medical College of Virginia teaching in the Masters of Health Services Administration degree program.
